Doro literally means "mud" in Japanese and it has given such name because it is made with the remaining worcestershire sauce in the bottom of the tank. So it has a darker color and thicker texture than other Japanese sauces.
Doro sauce originates in Kansai area and is made by aging a mix of fruits and vegetables (including tomato, onion and apple), spices and vinegar.
