This Rayu, or also called Japanese Chili Oil, is made by blending fried garlic and onion with other ingredients and spices to bring out all the umami and aroma.
Use it as a topping for steamed rice, gyoza dumplings, noodles, risotto, pizza, etc. or as a seasoning for stir-fried dishes, noodles or fried rice.
