These Japanese colored pencils can be used as a substitute for marker pens or highlighters; however, since pencils normally do not have a cap, you can write or draw quicker without spending your time opening/closing the cap every time you use it.
Another advantage of using colored pencils instead of marker pens is that you can adjust the gradation of color more flexibly by controlling your handwriting force.
